Summary:High blood pressure is a global threat due to its consequences on morbidity and mortality through cardiovascular diseases such as myocardial infarction, stroke or chronic kidney disease. In Romania the prevalence of hypertension has registered an upward trend of 45% of the general population equivalent of 7.4 million persons compared to 40% in 2011.
