Summary: | Postoperative endophthalmitis is an uncommon yet devastating complication after cataract surgery. We report a case of acute-onset postoperative endophthalmitis secondary to a rare causative pathogen Chryseobacterium . Elderly male patient with chronic kidney disease on hemodialysis with acute-onset postoperative endophthalmitis was managed with systemic and local higher antibiotics, leading to the resolution of the infection. |
