Summary:Highlights • This is the first reported case of a pregnant patient with human parechovirus type 3 (HPeV3). • In this case, HPeV3 induced fever, arthralgia, myalgia, and muscle weakness. • A cesarean section was performed, and PCR for the detection of HPeV3 was negative for the placenta, umbilical cord, umbilical cord blood, amniotic fluid, and breast milk. • There was no complication in the clinical course and the patient was discharged with her baby in a stable condition.
