Summary: | The integration of supply chains has become a global operations strategy for many organisations because it allows them to improve customer service, minimise operating costs, and synchronise channels across the supply chain. This paper presents the design and implementation of a fuzzy expert system for the integration of collaborative supply chains. A measurement instrument that was statistically validated and formulated using a mathematical model was designed to implement the fuzzy expert system. This instrument was applied in 44 small-, medium-, and large-sized Mexican enterprises to determine their integration level. Specific actions were proposed, based on the results, to improve the attained integration level. |
