Summary: | The joint inversion of receiver function and gravity data estimates the crustal thickness and VP/VS ratio. Since Lowry and Pérez-Gussinyé proposed it in 2011, this joint inversion method has been improved and refined by domestic and international scholars, and gradually applied in various fields. Compared to the traditional receiver function H-κ stacking technique, this method minimizes the uncertainty of results by including a gravity constraint and provides more accurate values of crustal thickness and VP/VS ratio. It also provides more reliable evidence for studying the crustal structure and material composition. This paper first introduces the principle of receiver function H-κ stacking technique, gravity likelihood function estimation, and the algorithm/flow of joint inversion of receiver function and gravity data.
