Summary: | The paper deals with an introduction of the CLIL (Content and LanguageIntegrated Learning) - a newly invented and officially recommended method for the teaching of foreign languages in the European Union. The authors describe its general characteristics and benefits as well as give examples of its application in Slovakia, one of the new member states of the EU. Since Slovakia is not widely known in Colombia, the authors have added a description of the situation in teaching foreign languages in their country, thus providing an important context for teaching objectives and conditions of applying the CLIL. |
