Summary: | Mineral excretions calculated from arm sweat samples are in fairly good agreement with those calculated from total body sweat samples. Agreement improves if account is taken of the respiratory water loss. However, the studies suggest that total body sweat procedures should be used wherever possible to determine mineral excretion because some individuals do not sweat appreciably on the arms. (Author)
