Summary: | General theoretical principles of investigating the problems of the interaction of a number of radar systems which make up a complex in the tactical and technological characteristics of their interrelations are being developed on the basis of the ideas of information theory. These theoretical principles are based on basic engineering data and make it possible to obtain practical recommendations about means of creating systems which fulfill specific tactical technological requirements. The specific nature of short-range radar systems, the characteristic feature determining all of their main singularities of which is the commensurability of range with the geometric dimensions of interacting targets and with errors in issuing executive commands is examined. In the information theory aspect, a theory of multichannel mutual-correlation systems is given which expands the possibility of improving characteristics of efficiency, interference resistance and reliability of short-range systems.
