This memorandum report presents details of the instrumentation used, results on the effectiveness of the mixed field shield-collimator design, and proof of the feasibility of gamma-ray spectrum measurements in either pulsed or steady-state reactor fields. Counting, rate-meter, and analog circuits each performed satisfactorily. However, the shield-collimator design was not satisfactory and it was necessary to make spectrum measurements with eight inches of water interposed between the spectrograph and the reactor core.
