Summary: | The note presents results relative to the effects of gaseous atmosphere and pressure on the natural thermoluminescence of a powdered crystalline sample. The authors demonstrate, in particular, that the peaks do not disappear at pressures below 0.01 torr, but that they are displaced towards higher temperatures. Further, at constant pressure, a peak displacement is observed which depends on the nature of the gas. (Author)
