Hardware Acceleration of Non-Uniformity Correction for High-Performance Real-Time Infrared LED Scene Projectors
A novel approach to correcting forintensity non-uniformity in the InfraRed LightEmitting Diodes (IRLEDs) is described that achieveshigh performance without requiring a model oftemperature levels present. Summary: | A novel approach to correcting forintensity non-uniformity in the InfraRed LightEmitting Diodes (IRLEDs) is described that achieveshigh performance without requiring a model oftemperature levels present. An off-the-shelf graphicalprocessing unit (GPU) is used in order to computethe needed corrections before running the projectorin parallel. The performance of this method isevaluated using both real and simulated IR data.
