Summary: | The presentation of an insulinoma can be insidious, leading to delays in diagnosis that can last years. A seizure is a severe manifestation of hypoglycemia, but focusing on the neurological evaluation can overlook an insulinoma as the primary etiology. Consequently, there are several reports of insulinomas initially misdiagnosed as epilepsy. Contrary to these reports, we present a case of new onset seizure that immediately led to the diagnosis and treatment of an insulinoma.
