Summary: | A hazard evaluation of the candidate face net impregnant 3-chloro-1-propanol carbanilate (ENT-18059-Gb) was performed by means of laboratory animal studies using rats, rabbits and quail. The technical grade compound did not produce primary irritation when applied to the intact or abraded skin of rabbits. No corneal injury, iritis or conjunctivitis was observed after a single application of technical grade compound to the eyes of rabbits. Data indicate little acute toxic hazard from accidental ingestion. Acute aerosol exposure of rats and subchronic aerosol inhalation exposures of rats and quail resulted experimentally in no deleterious effect. |
