Summary:This volume presents material related to the conceptual framework used in the language analysis aspects of the task analysis/objectives system. The initial pages of the volume contain an explanation of the functional system and how it fits with other system concepts, and some heuristics for its use. Next is a list of the functional categories and functions which were developed in the course of the project. Third, the volume presents Operational Definitions for each function listed in the previous pages.
