Description
Summary:This research report demonstrates that a complex Computer-Assisted Instruction (CAI) system can be integrated within a tactical computer system and that learning does take place within the tactical computer environment. While it is unreasonable to expect that a given method of instruction will be applicable to all Army personnel, it should at least cover a fairly broad range of personnel with varying aptitude (G) scores. These personnel present problems in regard to training costs. While student cost (time) is a consideration, instructor time (cost of preparation and instructing) is a more heavily weighted factor. A training program which has the capability to reduce instructor time in relation to student time offers a cost-effective, cost-saving approach to training. See also Volume 4, ADA107530.
