Summary:Results of the biomedical assessment of a one-atmosphere diving system, JIM-4, conducted by personnel at the Naval Medical Research Institute, are presented in this final report. The report contains an historical perspective of one-atmosphere diving and a detailed research protocol that formed the basis of the assessment, which dealt in particular with human engineering and performance physiological assessments. Results of all experiments are summarized.
