Biochemical analysis of Boivin antigen indicated that the lipopolysaccharide and protein components were not complexed, but were co-extracted. the lipopolysaccharide (endotoxin) moiety was responsible for the antiviral activity and the endotoxin- associated proteins potentiated the antiviral effect. |
