Description
Summary:A study was conducted by the U.S. Army Combat Systems Test Activity at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, to determine if existing data collected by that activity could be used to conduct a quantitative risk assessment. The results of this study indicate that the data are not only available but also in a usable form to conduct quantitative risk assessments. The results of the risk assessment will provide project managers with reasonable alternatives when considering designs, cost, and safety. Keywords: Fault tree, Risk assessment, Reliability, Mean time between failures, Hazard analysis, Redundancy, System safety. (sdw)
