Summary: | From 13 to 19 November 1989, the Naval Postgraduate School Atmospheric Optics Group acquired atmospheric optical turbulence measurements at the 31-inch Lowell Observatory telescope dome facility on Anderson Mesa, 16 km southeast of Flagstaff, Arizona. The parameters measured, the transverse coherence length and the isoplanatic angle, were part of an ongoing site survey for a large-scale, ground-based, synthetic aperture system (100-300 m baseline stellar interferometer). This report compiles, analyses and summarizes the acquired optical data. Also discussed are the synoptic meteorological events present during the data acquisition period. |
