Summary: | Data analysis procedures for the PASP Plus Dosimeter SN/2 in the APEX spacecraft are given, including dead time corrections for high count rate periods. The SN/1 unit calibration data from the MIT Van de Graaff have been reduced to geometric factors, including corrections for the calibration sources. The new calibrated geometric factor electron thresholds deviate slightly the theoretical thresholds and from the earlier calibrations of the CRRES Dosimeter. The PASP Plus Dosimeter electron calibration data are believed to be the more accurate, and are likely to apply to the CRRES D1 detector. The in-orbit data from the SN/2 dosimeter show that all detectors were initially operating properly, and the calibration source data show that the detectors are fully depleted. Typical flux data plots are shown for different orbit orientations. The PASP Plus dosimeter is returning good data from all four domes after 1 year, 9 months in orbit. |
