Summary: | The evaporation rates of two decontamination solutions, DeconGreen(TradeMark) and DF200(TradeMark), were measured from surfaces with multiple and independent methods. Evaporation was measured by mass of residual decontaminant and video image processing. A wind tunnel was used to simulate an arid climate, with a low relative humidity and high temperature. The decontamination solution, DF200(TradeMark), evaporated faster from bare and CARC-coated aluminum by a factor of approximately 2.8 compared to DeconGreen(TradeMark).
