Description
Summary:The objective of this project is to present a video short course on basic ship production to the shipyard skilled trades. As such, it assumes a certain knowledge of the skills needed to produce a ship, but does not get deeply into the theory of ship production. It is not directed towards planning and production engineer:, or management. The video is intended to give the various trade workers an idea of what modem shipbuilding is and how their skills are applied. It could also serve as a reference for outside vendors in applying their products in shipbuilding. An Instructor's Guide is included as a reference for a knowledgeable person presenting the video to a group of trade workers or trainees. Prepared in cooperation with the National Steel and Shipbuilding Co., San Diego, Ca.
