Summary:This patent application concerns a two-component, rapid curing epoxy adhesive for use underwater; the adhesive, which is not activated by water, displaces water on the underwater surfaces and bonds tightly and permanently thereto. One component consists of viscous liquid epoxy and the other component contains a high functionality liquid polymercaptan resin and 2,4,6-Tri(dimethyl amino-methyl) phenol, plus a wetting agent and fillers.
