Decitabine Prior to Low-Dose Cytarabine-Based Chemotherapy Combined with HLA-Mismatched Stem Cell Micro-Transplantation Improved Outcomes in Elderly Patients with Newly Diagnosed Acute Myeloid Leukaemia

Research Highlights • A new transplant style for elderly patients with newly diagnosed AML was proposed. • The transplantation consists of substantial decitabine plus G-CSF priming, low dose aclarubicin and cytarabine (DCAG) chemotherapy and human leukocyte antigen (HLA) mismatched stem cell micro-t...

Description
Summary:Research Highlights • A new transplant style for elderly patients with newly diagnosed AML was proposed. • The transplantation consists of substantial decitabine plus G-CSF priming, low dose aclarubicin and cytarabine (DCAG) chemotherapy and human leukocyte antigen (HLA) mismatched stem cell micro-transplantation (SC-MST). • The transplantation was well tolerated for elderly patients even for those with poor HCT-CI, graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) prophylaxis was not needed.
