Summary:We present the magnetic phase diagram of SmMn1−xFexO3 substitutional solid solution in the whole concentration range 0≤x≤1 as determined from magnetization measurements and as supported by already known data published on this substitutional system. We have found that the evolution of the Néel temperature is very similar to other REMn1−xFexO3 (RE= Pr, Gd, Tb). We have confirmed that very simple magnetic phase diagram for low x concentrations and the complicated one for high x concentrations is typical for all, REMn1−xFexO3 (RE= Pr, Sm, Gd and Tb) compounds. This means that the magnetism in this orthorhombically distorted perovskite series is driven by the 3d ions and the RE ions are responsible only for the minor corrections to the magnetic phases. •Complete magnetic phase diagram of SmMn1−xFexO3(0
