Summary:This article examines data from a study of 146 female and 26 male graduate (96) and undergraduate (67) students designed to identify what characteristics influence students' knowledge of and interest in working with older persons. This study found a strong positive relationship between the number of a student's personal and professional experiences with older persons and his or her level of interest in working with older persons.
