Summary:The immunoprophylactic efficacyof a local rough strain of Salmonella Gallinarum, was tested in experimental chicks. The day-old chicks were immunized orally and then challenged with a smooth pathogenic strain of the same organism on different interval of days. Immunoprophylaxis, with or without the bootser dose, resulted in significant protection against challenge organism when the chicks were challenged after 7,14 and 21 days post-inoculation.
