Summary: | Mature leaves and twigs from 6 fodder trees and fruits/pods from 5 trees species were evaluated for their chemical composition and in sacco degradability. In tree leaves a positive correlation was observedamong CP content and in sacco nutrient degradability while NDF, ADF, hemicellulose, cellulose and lignin content showed negative correlation with nutrient digestibility. The tree leaves viz. Azadirachta indica, Anogeissu pendula. Acacia catechu and pods of Acacia catechu were higher in nutritive values as compared to other species under study. |
