Summary: | This article provides a taxonomic description of Siculobata talaricasp. nov. collected from native forest soil of Buenos Aires, Argentina. This new species was compared to its conspecifics: Siculobata sicula and Siculobata malabarica, respectively. After a status and affinity revision among Siculobata, Metaleius, Paraleius, Vesiculobates and Floribates, the taxonomic concept of Siculobata is reconsidered and a more accurate diagnosis of its genus is proposed.http://zoobank.org/urn:lsid:zoobank.org:pub:549CA8BD-3716-43ED-BACC-4634C6F19FB3 |
