description A Montagne des Pyrénées dog was presented for appearance changes of the left eye and facial mucocutaneous junction depigmentation. Physical examination revealed a hypertensive panuveitis and a mild facial vitiligo. The right eye, of which fundus was albinos, presented no abnormalities. The left eye was eviscerated. The product of the evisceration (uvea and retina) and biopsies of the mucocutaneous junction of the nasal region were routinely processed for histopathological examination. This confirmed the panuveitis and revealed focal absence of melanocytes along with minimal inflammation. The clinical and laboratory data matched with an immune-mediated disease against melanocytes. Although not confirmed, the hypothesis of uveodermatologic syndrome (Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada-like syndrome) remains possible.
