Screening and isolation of Actinomycetes isolates in biological control of Fusarium solani, F. moniliforme and F. subglutinans the causal agent of rot root of greenhouse cucumber in vitro conditions

Description
Summary:The root rot is one of the most important fungi diseases in greenhouse cucumber. This disease is caused by Fusarium sp. However, the resistant cultivars and fungicides are used to control this disease, but these methods could not control this disease well. In this research, the activity of 100 Actinomycets has been appraised against Fusarium solani, F. moniliforme and F. subglutinans . Among all the Actinomycetes isolates, isolate 18 showed high level of activity in Agar disc and well-diffusion methods. In chloroform test, only one isolate showed antagonistic activity. The antagonistic activity of this isolate on pathogen was fungistatic.
