Summary:Cancel titlepages have horizontal chain lines. Vol. 2 may always have been issued with both titlepages; see British Library Union Catalogue of pre 1801 books Vol. 1 a reissue of the edition of 1739 without Parkin's name on the titlepage, with a cancel titlepage and the section on Fersfield reset. Vol. 2 apparently a reissue, despite date, of the edition of 1745 without Parkin's name on the titlepage; the titlepage is a cancel. Reissues of vols. 3-5, which already bore Parkin's name on the titlepage, do not appear to have been published.
