Summary:The publication of 'Shi to Shiron' which included the writings of Miyoshi Tatsuji and Kitagawa Fuyuhiko, in 1928, heralded the advent of modern writing in Japan. Since 1928, modern writings have surfaced in Japanese literature, in the works of women such as Hirata Toshiko. Apart from writing and publishing modern literature, Japanese writers and poets are extending their horizon to incorporate variety and novelty in their writings.
