Effects of Green Tea Polyphenols on Lens Photooxidative Stress

Zigman et al determined whether tea polyphenols such as epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) would protect certain functions of rabbit and dogfish lenses in vitro against the photooxidative stress of UVA irradiation. They examined specifically whether catalase activity was protected.
