Description
Summary:Based on data about the crime rate provided by the 2010 Statistical Yearbook of Romania we have evaluated the statistical significance of the differences of crime rates in the Romanian development regions. To achieve this goal has been used the dispersion analysis (ANOVA) based on Fisher-Snedecor test (unifactorial model). The hypothesis that at least two media are different with a probability of 95% was checked, so we can say that there are significant differences on the crime rates in the Romanian regions. The results showed that as a region is more developed economically the crime rate is lower.
