Description
Summary:One chemical nematicide, namely carbofuran and two phytonematicides Fertinemakil Plus and a ashwagandha were tested for the control of plant parasitic nematodes associated with maize (Zea mays L. var. Islamabad White) to increase maize yield. The population densities of the nematodes, i.e. Pratylenchus zeae and Helicotylenchus indicus were remarkably decreased. The yield of maize was increased by the treatments, particularly by Carbofuran and Fertinemakil Plus over the controls.
