description The innovative project Magistral is to be terminated in 2011. A procedure and quality criteria are developed, and full-scale life tests of an experimental batch of tubes performed on a bench. The necessity of these tests is demonstrated experimentally. Correspondence of the steels developed to modern requirements for strength characteristics is verified.
