Linear shaped charges are used in various industries and are applied within specific technologies for metal cutting, such as demolition of steel structures, separating spent rocket fuel tanks, demining, cutting holes in the barriers for fire service, etc. According to existing theories and models efficiency of linear shaped charges depends on the kinetic energy of the jet which is proportional to square of jet velocity. The original method for measuring velocity of linear shaped charge jet is applied in the aforementioned research. Measurements were carried out for two different linear materials, and the results are graphically presented, analysed and compared. Measurement results show a discrepancy in the measured velocity of the jet for different materials with the same ratio between linear and explosive mass (M/C) per unit of surface, which is not described by presented models. Key words: jet velocity, linear shaped charges Kumulativni eksplozivni naboji kod kojih je jedna dimenzija, znacajno veca od drugih nazivaju se linearnim (linijskim) kumulativnim rezacima (engl. linear shaped charge--LSC). Linearni kumulativni rezaci koriste se u razlicitim granama industrije te se primjenjuju u sklopu pojedinih tehnologija za rezanje metala, primjerice kod rusenja celicnih konstrukcija, odvajanja iskoristenih spremnika goriva raketa, razminiranje, probijanja otvora u preprekama u vatrogastvu i sli. Prema postojeci modelima i teorijama ucinkovitost linijskih kumulativnih rezaca ovisi o kinetickoj energiji mlaza koja je proporcionalna kvadratu ubrzane obloge. Opisana istrazivanja primijenila su originalnu metodu mjerenja brzina mlaza linijskih kumulativnih rezaca. Mjerenja su provedena za dva razlicita materijala obloge, a rezultati su graficki prikazani, analizirani i usporedeni. Izmjerene brzine mlaza za razlicite materijale uz jednak odnos mase obloge i mase eksploziva (M/C) sveden na jedinicnu povrsinu obloge su razlicite, sto modeli koristeni u radu ne mogu opisati.
