Influence of paired light pulses on the rothstein effect

The influence of paired light pulses with a duration of 1.5 × 10 −6 s and a repetition period from 1.5 × 10 −6 s to 7.2 × 10 −6 s on the Rothstein effect is investigated for the RETINA X-ray film. It is shown that depending on the synchronization of the second light pulse with a single electric fiel...

Description
Summary:The influence of paired light pulses with a duration of 1.5 × 10 −6 s and a repetition period from 1.5 × 10 −6 s to 7.2 × 10 −6 s on the Rothstein effect is investigated for the RETINA X-ray film. It is shown that depending on the synchronization of the second light pulse with a single electric field pulse in a photolayer with field strengths of 6 × 10 6 and 1.5 × 10 7 V/m, the effect of variation of the integrated optical density of images changes towards higher values as compared to the density of the images formed only by a pair of light pulses. In this case, no negative “field effect” was observed in the given film.
