Description
Summary:The dependence of the time of longitudinal relaxation of the ground-state cesium vapor on the temperature of the antirelaxation coating of the cell walls is studied experimentally. It is found that the fast component of relaxation is independent of the coating temperature, while the slow component depends on it. The temperature dependence of the slow relaxation component is used to estimate the energy of activation of desorption of cesium atoms from the antirelaxation coating, E desorp = 0.13 eV.
