Summary: | The obtained subcritical CO.sub.2 -extract of Acorus calamus was enriched with terpene hydrocarbons and oxygen- containing compounds (carotinoids, sterols, tocopherols, fatty acids) according to GC-MS investigations, which detected about 40 chemical compounds. Camphor, camphene, and [beta]-pinene, which account for the anti-inflammatory effect of the plant extracts, had the greatest percentage contents. |
