Experimental Installation for Studying Hydroaerothermal Characteristics of Sprinklers and Water Traps of Cooling Towers
An experimental installation designed for engineering tests of sprinkling and water trapping devices is described. Aerodynamic tests were performed to determine the aerodynamic resistance coefficient of sprinklers and water traps and its dependence on the recirculating water and air flow rate. Hydro...

Summary: | An experimental installation designed for engineering tests of sprinkling and water trapping devices is described. Aerodynamic tests were performed to determine the aerodynamic resistance coefficient of sprinklers and water traps and its dependence on the recirculating water and air flow rate. Hydroaerothermal tests were performed to determine the relative circulating water temperature based on a host of physical parameters. The experimental installation developed permitted measurements of the key process parameters with fair accuracy. |
