Summary:Special features of an algorithm for coding-decoding of digital particle holograms and restoration of holographic particle images based on the Gabor wavelet are considered. The method involves the application of the decoded wavelet coefficients for the subsequent restoration of images from digital holograms. Results of approbation of the method to numerically calculated holograms and holograms of plankton particles are presented.
