Summary:A small collection of soil mites (about 400 ind.) from Belyi Island revealed 22 species. Of them, Camisia dictyna Colloff, 1993 is recorded for the first time in Western Siberia while Zercon zelawaiensis Sellnick, 1944 and Ameronothrus nigrofemoratus (Koch, 1879) are recorded for the first time in Siberia. Four other species were found in the Yamal Region for the first time. Half of the species found were specialized cryobiont (arctic and arctomontane) forms.
