Description
Summary:Results are presented of experimental x-ray diffraction analysis of the microstructure of VT6 titanium alloy billets in ultrafine-grained (UFG) state subjected to flat rolling. The UFG state was formed by six cycles of isothermal multiaxial forging at 650°C. The regularities of changes of the structural parameters (the lattice parameter, coherently scattering domain size, and microdistortions of the crystal lattice) are revealed depending on the degree of flat rolling reduction.
