PECEM'S PORT AND ITS RELATIONS WITH BRAZIL: A HINTERLAND DEFINITION/O PORTO DO PECEM--CE E AS SUAS RELACOES COM O BRASIL: DEFINICAO DE UMA HINTERLANDIA

This article analysis the relationship between the Pecem Port and Brazil, from a logical of flows. To note that Pecem's Port, 60 kms from Fortaleza, the state capital, was built to integrate the Industrial and Port Complex, which is still in installation. With this temporal mismatch between the port's opening in 2002 and the construction of anchor industries, the Pecem Port sought to expand its structure allowing the export and import of other commodities. With its proximity to the United States and Europe, the Pecem port has been a response to a wide range of municipalities. This article intend to present the development of port systems, Pecem's Port and especially define its hinterland, ie, what is your real influence area.Keywords: Port; Hinterland; flows of commodities; import and export; Pecem.Este artigo analisa a instalacao do porto do Pecem--Ceara e a sua ligacao com o Brasil como um todo, a partir de uma logica de fluxos. Salienta-se que o Porto do Pecem, a 60 km de Fortaleza, capital do estado, foi construido para integrar o Complexo Industrial e Portuario, que se encontra ainda em instalacao. Com este desajuste temporal, entre a inauguracao do porto em 2002 e a construcao das industrias ancora, o porto do Pecem procurou expandir a sua estrutura permitindo a exportacao e importacao de outras mercadorias. Com a sua proximidade aos Estados Unidos e a Europa, tem sido resposta para uma vasta gama de municipios. Este artigo pretende apresentar a evolucao dos sistemas portuarios, do Porto do Pecem, mas principalmente definir as sua hinterlandia, ou seja, qual a sua real zona de influencia.Palavras-chave: Porto; Hinterlandia; Fluxos de mercadorias; importacao e exportacao; Pecem.
