compounds of rare-earth and transition metals aimed at manufacturing of nanostructured anisotropic sintered magnets are discussed. It is shown that, by using combined hydrogen treatment based on the modified hydrogenation–disproportionation–desorption–recombination (HDDR) method, we refine the microstructure of ferromagnetic alloys down to the nanolevel. We experimentally establish the mechanism of getting magnetically anisotropic materials by the HDDR method: the materials are anisotropic if they contain residues of the initial phase after disproportionation. We prove the possibility of application of hydrogen treatment by the HDDR method for the purposes of sintering of ferromagnetic nanostructured materials. |
