The role of the islamic culture courses in enhancing the intellectual security among PSAU students/ O papel dos cursos de cultura islamica no aumento da seguranca intelectual entre os estudantes da PSAU

The present study aimed to highlight the role of the Islamic culture courses in enhancing the intellectual security among PSAU students at Saudi Arabia. The sample of the present study consists of 192 participants, males and females, enrolled at the complex of Wadi Aldawer colleges, PSAU. The students were chosen randomly as they were requested to respond to a questionnaire. Using the descriptive survey method, the results of the study have shown that the role of the Islamic culture courses in enhancing the intellectual security among the students has been achieved at a high standard. Similarly, the ways for actualizing the role of the Islamic culture courses in enhancing the intellectual security among PSAU students came at a very high standard. In the light of the results, a number of recommendations has been issued; among them is to increase the contact hours of the courses of the Islamic culture to cover all the topics and units of the course since the current study plan has limited the number of teaching hours to only two credit hours. This would have a negative effect on achieving the objectives of the course. Keywords: Islamic Culture Courses. Intellectual Security. University. PSAU. O presente estudo teve como objetivo destacar o papel dos cursos de cultura islamica no aumento da seguranca intelectual entre os estudantes da PSAU na Arabia Saudita. A amostra do presente estudo e composta por 192 participantes. homens e mulheres. matriculados no complexo de faculdades Wadi Aldawer. PSAU. Os alunos foram escolhidos aleatoriamente. pois foram solicitados a responder a um questionario. Utilizando o metodo de pesquisa descritivo. os resultados do estudo mostraram que o papel dos cursos de cultura islamica no aumento da seguranca intelectual entre os alunos foi alcancado com um alto padrao. Da mesma forma. as formas de concretizar o papel dos cursos de cultura islamica no reforco da seguranca intelectual entre os estudantes da PSAU atingiram um padrao muito elevado. A luz dos resultados. foram emitidas diversas recomendacoes; entre elas esta o aumento das horas de contacto dos cursos de cultura islamica para abranger todos os temas e unidades do curso. uma vez que o actual plano de estudos limitou o numero de horas letivas a apenas duas horascredito.
