Summary: | Students are still grossly misinformed about AIDS despite the widespread educational campaigns regarding the disease. Few people know that AIDS can also be transmitted by teenagers or from mothers to their babies. Children with AIDS may safely go to school since there is little risk of their infecting other students. However, educators can intensify efforts to inculcate AIDS awareness and advise teenagers that they should refrain from unprotected sex. |
