Summary: | Digital photogrammetry methods are applied for generation of orthophotographic maps. For this purpose, orientation of aerial photographs has been carried out and generated a digital terrain model of the Earth's surface (DEM), digital orthophotographic transformation is carried out through aerial images geometry processing, which removes geometric distortions due to tilt the camera, the central projection and terrain effects. It is extremely important that the digital terrain model of the Earth's surface would be created in required quality for geometric transformation of digital images. Digital photogrammetry processes for the experimental analysis has been carried out in the Institute of Aerial Geodesy (Kaunas) using digital photogrammetric workstation PHOTOMOD. This software system is generated terrain model (DEM) and orthophotographs after images inner, relative and absolute orientation. Digital terrain modeling done by creating a triangular irregular wire models--a TIN (Triangulated Irregular Network), consisting of not overlapped triangles. There was applied these surface interpolation methods: adaptive, smooth and a regular. A comparison of digital elevation models for different terrain interpolation methods has been done. Adaptive relief interpolation method is recommended. Digital Software LISA (Berlin, Germany) was applied for generation of digital terrain elevation model investigating the quality and accuracy assessment.
